Terri Abrahamsen-My rodeo career includes growing up on a Horse Farm that bred and raised, not only performance horses, but also halter and race horses. Tim, my oldest brother, began competing in Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeos throughout Colorado and that was my inspiration for rodeo photography and I began my professional rodeo photography career in 1973. The amazing rodeos that I photographed includes photographing rodeos throughout Oklahoma and included many years as the Official Oklahoma High School Rodeo Assoc. Photographer, and Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Arkansas, Missouri, California, Indiana, Montana,Oregon, Idaho, New Mexico, and Utah. Covering rodeos which include: Denver, Co; Cheyenne, Wy; Houston, Tx, San Antonio, Tx; Ft. Worth, Tx; and the National Finals Rodeo, Red Bluff,Ca; Colorado State Fair and Rodeo; Indiana Stater Fair Rodeo; Oklahoma High School Rodeo Finals; Missouri High School Rodeo Finals; Mountain States Circuit Finals, Prairie Circuit Rodeo Finals; CSRA Rodeo Finals; Team Rodeo; Region 8 Indian Rodeo Finals. Taking amazing Rodeo Photos and Earning my Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Card as a photographer and held it for 8 years that took me places and rodeos where I created some exciting images and captured rodeo history and became part of an amazing Rodeo Family. I am the first photographer to be reinstated as a card holding photographer in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The images captured with my camera while photographing the OHSRA rodeos led to publishing 4 books filled with over 3500 images and I am currently working on 3 more books with my rodeo images from her days covering OHSRA rodeos. Other photo experiences that helped me to be the photography that I am such as I  managed a successful portrait and wedding studio in Indiana for  over 20 years. Giving me a well rounded and skilled photography talent. Moved back to Oklahoma in 2014 and have returned to the arena and dusty boots. Many in the rodeo world have mentioned to me that "she should have never left rodeo, so glad she is back and photographing rodeo images".

I am a PRCA ProPodeo Photographer and earning a PRCA Photographer's card is not an easy task to pursue. Earning my PRCA ProRodeo Card is a privelage that I take very highly submitting my images and having them reviewed by fellow PRCA photographers and media staff, and more- was a task I was willing to take and after lots of hard work and effort I accomplished my PRCA ProRodeo Photographer Status, first in 1982 with film and now in this new era with digital. This gives me status to photograph from inside the arena and from behind the chutes and to photograph top notch PRCA Rodeos. I take my rodeo photography very seriously. Very few are permitted to enjoy photographing PRCA Rodeos.

With my many years experience I enjoy capturing the fabulous Livestock Athletes and Cowboy and Cowgirl Athletes in action. Creating these images is an honor to catch the action and history of our sport of Rodeo.  My talents and experience have brought me to another wonderful avenue of Rodeo Photographer-as an instructor, I host and teach at Rodeo Photography Workshops and Schools. This allows me to help upcoming Rodeo Photographers to achieve their dreams.

Having spent most of my life in and around horses and rodeos. This well rounded experience will teach and guide you to your style of rodeo photography that fits what you are wanting to capture. I am also a member of the Professional Photographers of America and The Professional Photographers of Oklahoma.
